Motril Fish Market
At the Port of Motril, the Fish Market (Lonja) is the heart of the city’s maritime tradition.
After more than 50 years of activity, this key space for the local economy was modernized and officially inaugurated in 2023, adapting to health regulations and improving its facilities for fish auctions and handling.
The lonja is not only a functional building; it is also a bridge between the port and the Varadero district, restoring the connection between fishing life and the city, while opening the area to visitors with new views of the sea.
Today, discovering the Motril Fish Market means experiencing its living heritage: work, sea and tradition, in a port that continues to beat every day.
